Young Carer's Youth Group

Enquire
Free

The Young Carer's Group is for any young person who is aged 11-19 (and attending secondary school) who participates in any kind of caring role for a family member (i.e. sibling, parent/carer or grandparent) who needs help because of their age, disability, long term condition, mental illness or substance misuse issues. Caring roles could include helping around the house, personal care, support with lifting, support with health issues, looking after younger siblings due to parent illness/disability etc.

The focus of the group will be to give young carers an opportunity to have a break from caring, have a chance to make friends and to access support as required.

Transport can be arranged to make it easy for young people to attend.
