Lip reading is a skill that can improve how much you understand when someone speaks to you. As well as learning to lip read you will learn some valuable communication tactics and about the latest equipment that supports hearing loss. Classes are informal and friendly. Booking is essential

Wakefield & District Society for Deaf People

The Society provides a range of support services, which includes provision of equipment, communication to access services, mail translations, assisted telephone calls, advocacy, a social and sport club, “ICan Workshops” We also facilitate a Deaf Led User group to ensure that deaf people’s views and concerns are addressed by service providers and to participate more effectively in planning of services.
