Wakefield Safe Space

Wakefield Safe Space understands that our mind doesn’t always have on off-switch and that many of us may find we need support later on at night after a tough day, or when other services are closed. With 1 in 4 of us experiencing mental health difficulties at some point every year, Wakefield Safe Space is keen to make non-clinical mental health support as accessible as possible for Everybody. We are available 6 nights a week to support anybody aged 16 or over in the Wakefield area who feel they need somebody to listen and talk through their mental health difficulties in a supportive, non-clinical environment.

The service is free to access and anybody can call to ask for support without needing a referral from a GP or Health professional.

Types of Support Available:

  • 1 to 1 support in person

  • 1 to 1 support over the phone

  • 1 to 1 support via zoom

  • Group Social Activities between 8-10pm

Please note: All supports must be arranged via phone call or text. Wakefield Safe Space is unable to provide drop-in support at this time.

To get support from Wakefield Safe Space simply call or text 07776962815 during the opening times and the team will arrange a support time that evening to suit you.
