Wakefield Safe Space understands that our mind doesn’t always have on off-switch and that many of us may find we need support later on at night after a tough day, or when other services are closed.
With 1 in 4 of us experiencing mental health difficulties at some point every year, Wakefield Safe Space is keen to make mental health support easier to access for everybody.
We support anybody aged 16 or over in the Wakefield District who feel they need somebody to listen and talk through their mental health difficulties in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space.
Our staff are not medical, but are highly trained in Mental Health Support and Suicide Prevention
The service is free to access and anybody can call to ask for support without needing a referral from a GP or Health professional.
