Our Community Employment Advisors are available to WDH tenants and WDH Homesearch applicants who would like help and support to find work, a better job or a training opportunity.  

If you've recently lost your job, are looking to get back into employment, or you're wanting to start work for the first time, our team of advisors can give you all the help and advice you could need. 

Support is available via phone and email and through face-to-face appointments at convenient community-based locations. If you find yourself suddenly without work we can support you to be ready for your next job. 

Our skilled advisors will work with you to identify what steps you might need to take to progress towards your employment goals. 

We can help with: 

• help to search for jobs; 

• assistance with email and online applications; 

• guidance on how to write a CV or cover letter; 

• interview skills and tips; and  

• help to find the right training course or volunteer opportunity. 

Our Community Employment Advisors can also put you forward for WDH’s Training for Employment Programme which offers up to 12 months paid work for adults who are unemployed, 19yrs+ and living within a WDH property.  

Our Community Employment Advisors have helped more than 4,500 people, referring over 2,700 to appropriate training and supporting over 1,400 into employment.
